AncientsWiki

The Reforging Sigil is a jewel currency. It rerolls one random line on a jewel into a different line, at a freshly rolled tier within the jewel's rarity.

It is a gamble on both counts: which line it hits is random, and what replaces it rolls fresh. It can turn a dead T7 line into a T1, or wreck the line you were building around. As the item says: it can roll worse.

How the reroll works

  • The new line is drawn by the same stat weights as a freshly cut jewel, so a rare stat is as rare on a reforge as on a fresh cut. It never rolls a line the jewel already has.
  • The new tier leans toward the lower tiers, the same as a fresh cut.
  • It never touches a locked line, and a frozen jewel refuses it. Both come from crafting at the Confluence.
  • It does nothing on a unique jewel.

Using one

  • Right-click the sigil to pick a jewel from a list, or pick the sigil up onto your cursor and click it onto a jewel in your inventory. It has to be a click; a held-button drag does nothing.
  • It only works on a jewel item. Take a socketed jewel out first.
  • The chat readout shows which line was replaced and what it became.

To keep the lines you have and gamble only on their numbers, use the Truing Stone instead.

Where it comes from

  • Erebus Crates from the higher tier tears. Lower tier crates never carry one.
  • Uber bosses: every uber kill drops one item from that boss's pool, and the sigil is one of the options.
  • The Cut Stone quest line.
  • The season pass.
  • The Reclaim Shop.
  • Some store loot boxes, including the rotating Weekly Loot Box. Their contents change, so check the box.
