Aetheric Jewels
Aetheric jewels are the unique jewels. An Aetheric is never mined and never rolls stat lines. Each one is a hand-made item that changes a rule of the game instead of adding a number, with its own art.

Usurper: killing a Shade or Wraith gives it a spectral style for 30 seconds, and your hits with any weapon release a sweep, volley or mage burst. Gravecall jewels you already own became Usurper.
Every uber boss kill drops 1 item from that boss's pool: one of its uniques, an Exceptional orb, a Jewel Truing Stone or a Reforging Sigil.
What Echoglass and Emberflow do is written on the jewel. This wiki won't spoil it.
Hidden uniques
Map 4 added new uniques that stay hidden until someone finds one:
- Echidna has a new unique jewel hidden in her loot.
- Uber Lamia has a second unique jewel hidden in her loot.
- The Lower Pit under the Erebus Pit has two hidden in its loot.
No two are the same
Most Aetherics roll their own numbers when they drop, so two copies can differ. A well-rolled one is worth comparing against another, and farming a better roll is part of the game.
How they differ from rolled jewels
- An Aetheric takes a normal jewel socket, competing with your rolled jewels for the sockets you have.
- None of the rolled-jewel tuning reaches it: no stat lines, no tiers, no rarity-capped rolls.
- The Reforging Sigil does nothing on one. The Truing Stone does nothing on most of them.
- Uniques can't be crafted at the Confluence.
- Uniques can't be fused at
/salvageor used to craft a Jewel Loadout Expander. - Aetherics don't appear in the
/jewelsCatalog, which only tracks rollable stats.

- Gravecall is renamed Usurper. Killing a Shade or Wraith gives it a spectral style for 30 seconds, and your hits with any weapon release a sweep, volley or mage burst.
- Usurper is rarer from low tier Erebus Tears. The highest tier is unchanged.
- Each uber kill now drops 1 item from that boss's pool: a unique, an Exceptional orb, a Truing Stone or a Reforging Sigil.
- New hidden uniques from Echidna, Uber Lamia and the Lower Pit.
- Unique jewels can't be fused, scrapped or used in the Jewel Loadout Expander.
