Spall is a Shatter path perk for pickaxe prestige. It lets Shatter proc while you mine a meteorite, shearing a flat chunk of ore off the rock in one swing.
At a glance
| Path | Shatter |
| Roll | 25 to 40 ore per proc |
| Slots | Any perk slot (P1, P5, P10) |
| Triggers on | Your Shatter proc roll, on a meteorite swing |
| Requires | Shatter or Cataclysmic Shatter on the pickaxe |
How it works
Every swing at a landed meteorite rolls your Shatter proc chance, exactly as it would on ore. On a hit, Spall takes your rolled amount of ore out of that meteorite on top of what the swing itself took, and pays it to you.
Spall reads the Shatter roll and nothing else. No terrain breaks, and Cluster Bomb, Shatterstorm and Core Breach are not touched by it.
Notes
- Spall can never take a meteorite's last ore. The finish always belongs to whoever mines it.
- Ore it takes counts toward the Meteorite Hunter daily limit.
- There is no cooldown and no payout cap. Anything that raises your Shatter proc chance, such as Amplified Odds or Global Proc Chance, makes Spall fire more often.
- Pickaxes that took Spall before launch, when it rolled a share of the rock, were converted to the new 25 to 40 range. A high old roll stays a high new roll.
