Gang Points
Gang Points are your gang's shared score — a single number that gates your upgrades and decides where you land on the leaderboard. Check yours with /gp (also /gangpoints or /g points).
How you earn them
In Season 2, Gang Points are minted only by mining your own gang's ore-generator crude. They are no longer earned from killing shades or wraiths, and breaking ordinary ore gives nothing.
The rules are simple:
- Mining crude in a cell owned by a gang credits that gang. Crude mined in a cell with no gang owner earns nothing.
- Each crude block pays out based on the generator's tier —
generator price x a fixed ratio. Because that ratio is constant, the points-per-dollar-invested is identical across tiers: a coal gen and a netherite gen reward the same value for the money you sank into them. There's no advantage to stacking cheap low-tier gens. - Condensed Crude Ore blocks pay 10x the points of normal crude.
- Holding an outpost carrying the Industry minor pays your gang 25% more points from crude mined in its cells, on top of the 25% more crude that same minor generates.
Points per generator
Every generator adds 1 crude ore an hour to the crude blocks of its tier in the cell. Each crude mined pays the generator's price x 0.00001 in Gang Points. That works out to 1 point an hour for every $100,000 spent on generators, on every tier.
One generator, no bonuses:
| Generator | Price | Points per crude | Per hour | Per day | Per week |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coal | $25,000 | 0.25 | 0.25 | 6 | 42 |
| Iron | $75,000 | 0.75 | 0.75 | 18 | 126 |
| Lapis | $200,000 | 2 | 2 | 48 | 336 |
| Redstone | $500,000 | 5 | 5 | 120 | 840 |
| Gold | $1,250,000 | 12.5 | 12.5 | 300 | 2,100 |
| Diamond | $3,000,000 | 30 | 30 | 720 | 5,040 |
| Emerald | $5,000,000 | 50 | 50 | 1,200 | 8,400 |
| Netherite | $7,500,000 | 75 | 75 | 1,800 | 12,600 |
Fractions carry over, so 4 coal crude make 1 point and nothing is lost to rounding.
A full stack of 100 generators on one spot:
| Generator | Cost of 100 | Per hour | Per day | Per week |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coal | $2,500,000 | 25 | 600 | 4,200 |
| Iron | $7,500,000 | 75 | 1,800 | 12,600 |
| Lapis | $20,000,000 | 200 | 4,800 | 33,600 |
| Redstone | $50,000,000 | 500 | 12,000 | 84,000 |
| Gold | $125,000,000 | 1,250 | 30,000 | 210,000 |
| Diamond | $300,000,000 | 3,000 | 72,000 | 504,000 |
| Emerald | $500,000,000 | 5,000 | 120,000 | 840,000 |
| Netherite | $750,000,000 | 7,500 | 180,000 | 1,260,000 |
Points land when the crude is mined, not when it's made. Crude keeps piling up in the block while nobody mines it, offline included, so you can come back and mine a day's worth in one go.
Bonuses
| Bonus | Crude made | Points per crude | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| None | x1 | x1 | x1 |
| Gen Speed level 20 | x1.2 | x1 | x1.2 |
| Industry outpost minor | x1.25 | x1.25 | x1.5625 |
| Both | x1.5 | x1.25 | x1.875 |
Gen Speed adds 1% per level. With both bonuses one netherite generator makes 140.6 points an hour (3,375 a day), and a stack of 100 makes 14,062 an hour (337,500 a day).
Condensed crude
A tier's generators split their output across every crude block of that tier in the cell. A condensed block takes 10 shares for every 1 share a normal block takes, and each crude mined from it pays 10x points. Output that lands in condensed blocks is worth 10 times as much: a netherite generator feeding only condensed blocks makes 750 points an hour instead of 75.
Crude block capacity
A crude block takes at most 2 crude an hour, and a condensed block takes 20. Anything your generators make past that is lost. Speed bonuses raise output but not this limit, so you need more blocks when they're active:
| Bonuses | Crude blocks per 100 gens | Or condensed blocks |
|---|---|---|
| None | 50 | 5 |
| Gen Speed 20 | 60 | 6 |
| Industry | 63 | 7 |
| Both | 75 | 8 |
A single, locked gang-wide score
Gang Points are one shared number for the whole gang, not a per-player balance and not tied to any cell.
- Non-withdrawable and non-transferable: you can't cash them out or move them between gangs.
- Not raidable: they can no longer be stolen in a raid.
- They survive cell sale or transfer, so a gang can't dump its value onto alts near map reset.
What they're for
Gang Points do exactly two things, and they are never spent — meeting a threshold simply unlocks something:
- Gate gang upgrades: an upgrade requires a points total, but buying it doesn't drain your score.
- Rank the gang leaderboard: your total decides your standing on
/gtop, the weekly Obol payouts, and the map-end Reputation award.
The Stele of the Ancients is gone. Depositing and withdrawing points, the per-cell generator speed boost it granted, and capturing it during raids were all removed. Generator output is now flat and predictable.
Version history
v3.0.0
- An outpost carrying the new Industry minor grants 25% more Gang Points from crude ore mined in your gang's cells.
- Map-end Reputation now ranks gangs by Gang Points, matching
/gtopand the Obol payouts.
v2.0.0
- Ore generators now mint Gang Points instead of sellable money or ore, with higher-tier gens paying proportionally more so there's no edge to spamming cheap gens.
- Gang Points became a single gang-wide score that can't be withdrawn, traded, or raided, and are earned only from mining your own gang's gen crude.
- Removed the Stele of the Ancients along with point deposit/withdraw, the generator speed boost, and Stele capture; generator output is now flat and predictable.
- Condensed Crude Ore mined from a generator pays 10x the points of normal crude.
