Debris Field is a Powerball path perk for pickaxe prestige. It lets Powerball proc while you mine a meteorite, and sends the ball through the terrain to pull ore out of other meteorites nearby.

At a glance

Path Powerball
Roll 8 to 16 ore from each meteorite hit
Slots Any perk slot (P1, P5, P10)
Reach Up to 3 other meteorites within 50 blocks
Requires Powerball on the pickaxe

How it works

  1. You swing at a landed meteorite and your Powerball proc chance rolls as it would on ore.
  2. On a hit, a volley flies out to up to 3 other landed meteorites within 50 blocks.
  3. Each meteorite it reaches gives up your rolled amount of ore, paid to you at that rock's own tier.

The balls pass through terrain. They never break, place or change a block on the way.

If no other meteorite is in range, the ball fizzles and your action bar says No meteorite in range.

With Swarm

If the pickaxe also has Swarm, Swarm adds its extra balls to the volley and each extra ball goes to one more meteorite.

When a Swarm volley finds no other meteorite at all, every ball turns back into the rock you are mining and takes 10 to 16 ore from it each. This is the normal case out in the open field, where meteorites are spread thin. If the volley finds even one other meteorite, the spare balls miss.

Notes

  • Debris Field can never take a meteorite's last ore. The finish always belongs to whoever mines it.
  • Ore it takes counts toward the Meteorite Hunter daily limit, the same as ore you swing out yourself.
  • There is no cooldown and no payout cap. Your Powerball proc chance and your roll are the only two things that set its output, so Amplified Odds and other increased proc chance help it.
